I consider this a nice read although I've read better book about Gettysburg (The Killer Angels). There are few controversial topics that seems trivial to me. However, I love that he has included some things that I've never read in any Gettysburg book.

This book gives a deeper insight in one of the turning points of American history. It's a great read. Matter of fact, it inspired me to visit Gettysburg. I feel that I'll appreciate the book more once I see the actual location of the historical battle.

I like this book. There's a great combination of facts and the authors viewpoints. It's like reading a story of a soldier who really fought in the battle of Gettysburg.
