A Google User APU is one of Alaska's best kept secrets. Hidden away at the end of the road, this gem offers a world class education. I was drawn here to complete my Master's degree based on the active learning style. Although it seemed too good to be true when I applied, I have found the faculty truly does deliver a personalized education in an active environment. My courses typically have fewer than a dozen students; just large enough to create a dynamic environment and small enough to develop long lasting professional relationships. If you are interested in learning in a beautiful setting, this is the place.
A Google User APU is an excellent small liberal arts college. The small size of the University allow you to make lasting friendships with fellow students, staff, and faculty. I was able to take advantage of many opportunities that are available to students including leadership opportunities, class involvement, and clubs. In addition, the location of APU in relationship to the rest of Anchorage is perfect because of its centralized location and easy access to trails and other recreational opportunities. Find out what APU can do for you!
A Google User A small college with huge learning opportunities! I just graduated with my MBA from APU and the entire experience is not one that I will forget. The staff, faculty, and students are all amazing and so helpful. I was able to network, learn, and make new friends all while going there. The small classrooms were ideal and the environment surrounding the college was amazing. A short 40 minute drive and you're down Turnagain Arm for some of the best snow sports available to North America. Take a two hour drive in the other direction and you're at the opening of Denali National Park. There's so much to do here in Alaska that you will be hard pressed not to find something that's up your alley. APU helped me with this by the expansive group of people that you interact with on a daily basis while still keeping it personal. This isn't only with the students, but with the faculty and staff as well. Thank you, APU, for giving me the chance to learn and grow actively for not only myself, but the community at large.
A Google User I am an MBA student at APU. I chose to go there because of its small size. In my short time there I have gotten to know my professors on a personal level. Learning is ACTIVE at APU, meaning it provides me with the confidence that I can use my knowledge not only in the classroom, but also in the field. In addition, APU has a beautiful campus with views of the Chugach mountains in both the winter and the summer.
