    Description

Dreamland Bar-B-Que is a barbecue restaurant chain based in Alabama. It was founded by "Big Daddy" John Bishop in the Jerusalem Heights neighborhood of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1958, but has since franchised, opening restaurants in Birmingham, Montgomery, Huntsville, Mobile, Northport, and opened two restaurants in the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan area: Show more... Roswell, and Peachtree Corners.
The menu differs from location to location. At the original location in Tuscaloosa, the menu consists of only ribs, rib sandwiches, and white bread. At the other locations, in addition to ribs, they also serve pulled pork, barbecue chicken, smoked sausage, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, house salads and banana pudding. Dreamland is eminently known for their ribs and their barbecue sauce.

Dreamland is the best BBQ I've ever had. I am lactose intolerant and have an intolerance of gluten, so my choices are limited. But the ribs are phenomenal and the pork potato is delicious as well, just as long as everything has that delicious sauce on it too. Only issue I've ever had is a waitress named Natiasha in Tuscaloosa, I came in right before they closed to grab a potato and she wasn't very happy about it. I gave her a good tip but I could tell she was grumpy…poor attitude from her.

Great, out of the way eatery! The ultimate in unassuming quality. Ribs are huge, sausage is juicy & flavorful, and the sauce is tart with a kick you don't see coming. Yes, even the white bread & sweet tea shouldn't be missed. Everything served is fresh & don't forget to save room for banana pudding!

The ribs were tougher than a boot and were terrible and way over priced. Twenty bucks for a rack of ribs with sides extra. WILL NOT GO BACK !!!!!!!!

What an awesome little Hole-In-The-Wall this place is. Ribs and Iced Tea. It doesn't get any better!

Go to the original Dreamland; the rest are pale reflections of the real deal. Ribs, white bread and sweet tea are the standard fare. The banana pudding is phenomenal, IMO, and I suggest a container of it to top off the meal. The $25 per is a top price, but won't be hard to hit that number. Get extra sauce.
