My husband and I went for a week for our anniversary. We were so pleasantly surprised by the grounds and how pretty and well maintained they are. We pulled our 34' camper and had no trouble navigating the campgrounds while looking for a site to choose. I wish they had sewer set up for lengthy stays. We had to use the bath house for showers and restroom breaks (which was fine because they were clean). There were several overlooks throughout the park that allowed for you to pull your vehicle over and get out for pictures. There were also lots of activities at this park that would keep you busy for a while, not to mention all of the attractions and fun things to do in the surrounding areas of Pine Mountain, Warm Springs, Columbus, and LaGrange. My only complaint about this park was that I didn't feel like there was enough information on the location of the trailheads and that I was surprised by the difficulty and condition of the trails. I won't be hiking here again, but this was otherwise a great park. I'm coming back next month with more family to take them to see the Christmas lights at Callaway Gardens and Animal Safari in Pine Mountain.

Went camping there in April 2013. Very scenic. Staff was very helpful and informative. There are some 15 ft. camping areas that are just steps from the lake. My son had a great time! Canoes and kayaks can be rented with life jackets seasonally, by the hour. Excellent park, excited to return!

Fun and informative! Pretty grounds. The new Easter egg hunt and roll should be good going forward. There are a lot of clover mites around - I only mention because many were worried that they were chiggers (though they are too big to be chiggers. Definitely clover mites!)

We camped here in March 2011. Space #302 was right by the creek and nature and trail and worked our really well for the kids. The bathhouse was clean and maintained, not modern by any means, but clean. The outlets in the bathhouse were not working. There is a coin operated laundry, but the washer was out of order. The play area consisted of three slides and monkey bars. Park Ranger was always visible around park. Our space was gravel and the loop was gravel, but the paved portion in Loop 2 was great for the kids to bike and scooter on. We will be back.
