Finney Burgos I'd love to go here but they only take cash. I mean, does anyone even carry cash anymore? 9:30 club is a far better venue that caters the same crowd but offers better service. I used to come there a lot and never had any bad experience with the place.
Maude Leblanc Black Cat is divided into two separate areas, the Red Room, a laid-back bar/lounge with no cover and the upper room which is the main stage concert area. It's a cool place to catch shows or just hang out with your friends.
Susan Nielsen I've been there several times over the past couple of years. The place is okay and it does feature a lot of big names and indie artists, but I prefer the 9:30 Club because the place has better service and it's not overcrowded with hipsters.
Kinsey Cope Black Cat is DC's best live music venue. It's an excellent place to see a show and it has already hosted some of the best shows in DC. I saw Dinosaur Jr. here once and they were amazing! It was so good to see J, Murph and Lou on same stage again!
